Video: Philippe Dupuis ejected for knee-on-knee hit on Olli Jokinen

With the Calgary Flames up 5-0 at the end of the first
period
on Monday night, Colorado Avalanche center Philippe Dupuis was given a
5-minute major for kneeing and game misconduct for this hit on Olli Jokinen
who had a goal and three assists in the opening 20 minutes.

Watch here (sorry, no
sound in the clip):

Spin the Wheel of Discipline on this one for Dupuis, who appeared to position his left leg for the hit.

Now, it would have been Jokinen Luck to be in the midst of his first
4-point game since scoring five against the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 14,
2009, and then get taken out in the first period. But Jokinen was back on the
ice in the second, on the power play he drew from Dupuis.

(UPDATE: Spoke too soon. After taking six shifts in the second period, the Flames announced Jokinen won’t return for the third due to a lower body injury.)
